I take a research basis as my starting point to all of my photography projects and assignments, generally up to two months before beginning test shoots. Later, on location I make sample images as tests to see if the visual and contextual research come together. My work looks at different themes from an experimental documentary perspective, using sometimes factual material and at other times creating scenarios or staging aspects of the project in order to relay a deeper truth about a situation. Photography, as one writer has stated, has ceased to be about the outer object, but rather has become oriented towards the symbolic realm of visual meaning and interpretation. I use landscape and portraiture often together in order to create reflective pieces or series about issues related to the environment, human values and states of mind that are explored via the external world as metaphor. As an artist using a camera I see my work as presenting material for reflection and thought, rather than towing a line of aesthetic ideals realised through modernist interpretations of photography. I also aim to leave 'spaces', metaphorical or otherwise, in my work so that the viewer can decide for themselves what the final outcome may be. All these works can be purchased via inquiry through this site.

My training began in Spain, formerly at the Espai d'art fotográfic institute of Valencia. Later I progressed onto a BA (Hons) photography program via the OCA ratified by UCL. To date I have accomplished over seven years of formal study. My practice in photography is deeply informed by my Buddhist practice. The ethical and meditative dimensions are not always obvious, yet they can not be fully separated from my work as a photographer as this is so much what I am. However, in general I explore a wide variety of topics, many of which are underlined by the liminal and transient nature of our existences. The precarious, fragile and fleeting nature of our existence is a perennial theme in much of my work.
